How To Do Perfect Wedding Makeup That'll Last All Day

It's no secret that all brides want to look their best on their wedding day. They want to enjoy the party without worrying about raccoon eyes or excessive shininess! Because of the pressure for perfection, lots of brides hire a professional makeup artist to do their looks for the big day, and that is great. There is nothing wrong with assigning the task who someone who is an expert.

But with wedding costs higher than ever, brides everywhere are doing more DIY. I think makeup should be included in that category, especially if you have any experience doing your makeup at all. I'm by no means an expert, but I love doing my makeup and spend a lot of time perfecting application techniques, and I think I've gotten pretty good at makeup that will last 8 or more hours.

Here are some tips and tricks for doing your own wedding makeup that will last through kisses, dancing, photos, drinking, and still look good at the end of the day.

Without change, there would be no butterflies.

I'm back! I know I haven't posted in a long time, but things have been crazy. A lot has happened in the last 6 months. I got engaged! That's right, I will no longer be a Pickle after June 24th. I'm graduating and having a wedding before promptly moving to Seattle mid-July.

The Benefits Of Practicing Daily Gratitude

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I mean, what's not to like? First of all, it happens on a Thursday which is awesome. Thursdays don't get enough love. On top of that, it's a holiday solely devoted to eating and being thankful for being #blessed. Finally, you get to take awesome naps (aka food coma) and watch T.V. with your family. Overall, it's a feel good happy full yummy comfy smiley cozy holiday, (as long as we disregard the holiday's origins. We should be ashamed.)

BUT anyways...

Why Losing 70 Pounds Did Not Solve All My Problems

I used to be really fat. I'm still not skinny, but I used to be fatter than I am now. My weight was something I had struggled with my whole life. So as you can imagine, my self confidence was pretty low. I was insecure about how I looked and that translated into insecurity in almost every aspect of my life.

I always thought that if only I was skinny, everything would be better. I would come to find out that this wasn't the case.

5 Important Life Lessons You Need To Know

At the ripe old age of 26, I've learned a lot of life lessons the hard way. Most of these are things that my parents told me, but they just sounded so cliche that I mostly disregarded them. As time went on and I experienced more of life, the lightbulbs started going off.

Obviously I'm not some self-help guru, these are just things I've noticed to be true. I see a lot of my friends struggle with some of these issues and I wish they would learn these lessons, too! But I guess there are some things you have to learn for yourself.

Anyways, here are 5 important life lessons that I think everybody should know.
